TERMS & CONDITIONS OF TRADING
Acceptance of any quotation by the client also includes the
acceptance of the following terms and conditions:
1. All quotations remain open for acceptance for 30 days
from the date thereof, after which is subject to
confirmation or adjustment.
2. All quotations are based on the work being carried out
during normal working hours Monday to Friday. Should it be
necessary to conduct work outside of normal working hours,
an additional sum shall be charged to cover overtime costs.
3. The installation of cables, conduit and trunking etc
shall be by the most shortest and practical route as
decided by AP Services, unless as agreed prior to this
quotation.
4. The cost of any variations to the work as detailed in
the quotation , authorised by the client , shall be charged
on a time and material basis in addition to the quoted
price , unless subject to a separate quotation agreed by
the client
5. Whilst reasonable care shall be taken in the execution
of the work, the quotation does not include making good
disturbed surface decorations.
6. Whilst reasonable care shall be taken in the execution
of removing and relaying of floor coverings, AP Services
shall not be liable for damage to the coverings resulting
from the method of fixing or the poor condition of the
covering. The client may, at their own expense, employ
specialist to remove or refit the floor covering to
minimise damage and ensure the satisfactory refitting.
7. It shall be the client’s responsibility to protect food
from contamination.
8. It shall be the client’s responsibility to keep pets and
children away from areas affected by the works.
9. The client shall inform AP Services, of any matters that
may affect the health and safety of persons engaged in
carrying out the. work
10. The client shall advise our Engineers of the location
of any concealed water, gas, electricity, telephone or any
other services, wiring or pipes. In the absence of such
advice AP Services, cannot accept liability for damages to
these services or for consequential damage.
11. i) Payment shall be made in full within 7 days of the
date of a written invoice submitted by AP Services, after
completion of the work.
ii) Where the contract period is in excess of 14 days,
written invoices may be submitted on a weekly basis for
work executed in that week. Payment for such invoices shall
be due within 7 days.
12. i) Without prejudice to the clients statutory rights,
AP Services undertake to repair, or if necessary replace,
any defects due to faulty materials or workmanship brought
to their attention within 12 months of the work being
completed. AP Services shall not be liable to repair or
replace any defects due to normal wear or misuse
13. Unless as stated in the quotation, AP Services shall
not be liable for the condition of the existing
installation and defects associated therewith.
